Server Rules

Server Rules

To ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for everyone on Midnight Snack Survival, all players are expected to follow these rules. The staff team reserves the right to punish members for actions not explicitly listed here if they are deemed harmful to the community. Common sense is the best rule.

1. General Conduct (Discord & In-Game)

These rules apply across all our platforms, including the Minecraft server and our official Discord.

  • Be Respectful: Treat all members with respect. Harassment, hate speech, racism, sexism, homophobia, or toxicity of any kind will not be tolerated.
  • No Spamming: Do not flood the chat with repeated messages, excessive caps, or unnecessary pings. Keep the chat readable for everyone.
  • Keep Content SFW: This is a community server. Do not post or share NSFW content, gore, or inappropriate links in any channel.
  • No Advertising: Do not promote other Discord servers, Minecraft servers, or products in public chat or via Direct Messages (DMs) to our members.
    • Note: Even referencing other groups or communities can be seen as subtle advertising. To avoid confusion, it is best not to mention them at all.
  • Listen to Staff: Staff members have the final say. If a moderator or admin asks you to stop doing something, please comply immediately. Do not argue with staff decisions in public channels; if you have a concern, please open a support ticket.

2. Minecraft In-Game Rules

  • No Griefing: Do not destroy, alter, or mess with other players' builds. If you didn't place it, do not break it.
  • Resource Etiquette: This rule includes stealing crops without replanting or stealing/killing other players' wild or spawned Pokémon.
  • Server Performance: Do not build lag machines or excessive redstone clocks that harm server performance.
  • No Hacking or Cheating: The use of hacked clients, X-ray texture packs, auto-clickers, or any third-party software that gives an unfair advantage is banned.
  • Allowed Mods: Optifine, Sodium, Mini-maps, and Litematica (Ghost Mode only) There are most likely more mods that we will allow, but check-in with us first.

3. Voice Chat Rules

Standard server conduct applies to all voice channels as well.

  • Mic Etiquette: Please use Push-to-Talk if you have a noisy background. Avoid screaming, blowing into the mic, or using disruptive voice changers.
  • Channel Hopping: Do not rapidly switch between voice channels to annoy others or disrupt active conversations.

4. Enforcement

If you see a player breaking these rules, please do not attempt to handle the situation yourself in public chat. Instead, take a screenshot or video and open a Support Ticket in our Discord so the staff team can investigate.
